No, it's actual participation, helping set things up, drawing circles...

[After a moment, Eun pauses a beat.]

Has anyone ever actually tried to teach you magic, to see if you had any ability?

A fae man tried to teach me...

[ They spent more time flirting than anything else. ]

But we didn't get very far with it.

[That catches Eun's attention, and she tries not to look or seem very concerned but...the fae have a reputation for a reason.]

Does this fae man have a name?

[ QUIETLY GIDDY, though he's not sure what her concern is about; he does notice it. Maybe it's because she knows Cermand has promised to take him away. ]

Eun stares at him, eyes wide.]

You know Cermand?

[ Confusion... Cermand has been perfectly lovely to him, as well as being devastatingly attractive. ]

I do. Why?

[lastcall]

[She's only met the fae once, because he wound up in her bed by accident months ago. But...]

Do you know who he is? Who he knows? Who his people are?

[He is a Name in the community. He, Coire, Cromm, Eun knows them all by reputation, things she's heard at the bar and at the bakery.]

How do you even know him?

[tastelast]

[ He's not exactly an expert, but he thinks he knows enough. ]

He's a fae, and he's married to Coire, is lovers with Cromm, and has a daughter Caoimhe. I walked Coire home once because it was raining, and he offered to teach me magic.

[lastcall]

[He knows Coire also? Jesus.]

Okay. Okay. Well, wow. Okay.

[Eun looks at Daseul speculatively, before chewing on her lower lip with worry.]

You can probably trust the offer but please be careful, not just with the lessons but with interacting with Cermand and his family. They're all big names. Powerful. Don't give them cause to be offended.

[ He rubs her shoulder in a way that's hopefully comforting- he's sure he'll be fine. Pain is the last thing Cermand wants to inflict on him, he knows that much for sure.

He's so full of questions though... ]

Tell me more about them.

[There's a handwaved conversation that happens. Eun tells him what she knows about Coire and her family, about Cermand and Cromm and what they are. What they do. She tells him rumors, with the caveat that they're rumors. Tells him stories that she knows to be true.]

Cermand was fine with me when we met...by chance. And I don't think you should have any problems but be careful. Don't lie, don't make deals, and don't give anyone your word for anything you don't have control over, understand?

[ What is he supposed to do if he can't lie? All he does is lie.

He listens carefully and nods every now and then. It's quite fascinating to hear about Cermand from someone who isn't falling over themselves for him. ]

At this time, I do. I have stayed in my creator's home. Few others come near and I have yet to be noticed.
